Authors from around City of Moreton Bay will share their motivations for writing their books in a small group, speed-dating-style event.

While the event is free, bookings are required. Light refreshments will be served. This event is suitable for adults.

Info for authors

• Our event is in a fast-paced speed-dating format with authors having 6 minutes to talk and answer questions about their books with each small group before they move on to the next author.
• Authors need to have capacity to sell their books on the day and can bring merchandise and display materials. Tables will be provided, but display space is limited.
• Books may be eligible for inclusion in the City of Moreton Bay Library collection subject to availability and collection policies.

• Presenting authors EOIs open | 5:00 PM Saturday 1 August 2026.
• Submissions close | 5:00 PM Monday 31 August 2026.
• Authors notified | 5:00 PM Tuesday 22 September 2026.
