Every March, over one million Australians come together to volunteer for Clean Up Australia Day. Step up to clean up in 2025 with family, friends and colleagues and get involved. Help tackle the growing issue of litter on our streets, in our parks, and on our beaches.

By volunteering, you’ll raise awareness about the harmful impacts on our environment caused by:

• single-use items such as face masks, takeaway coffee cups, and food packaging
• illegal dumping.

Together we can keep our city a beautiful place to live, work and play.

Register a site

If there are no events near you, you can register a community clean-up site. Community site registrations are for individuals, friends, families, faith-based groups, and local community groups.

Community groups, schools, early learning centres, and businesses can create a clean-up event. Site supervisors will receive a free kit with all the essentials, such as bags, gloves, information, and promotional materials to help make the effort a success.
