About the musician

Kellee Green is a jazz pianist and composer who has been performing regularly since age 14.

She became interested in jazz in her teens and studied jazz piano at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University.

She performs regularly in Brisbane and interstate at venues such as the Brisbane Jazz Club, JMI Live and The Paris Cat.

She has performed with numerous jazz artists over the years, including Wilma Reading, Adrian Cunningham, Ingrid James, the Unladylike Big Band, David Theak and Elly Hoyt.

In 2022, she recorded Mothers’ Suite, Sweet Mothers, a five-movement work for piano and violin that was commissioned for ABC Classic’s Fresh Start series and recorded by the label.

She is the regular pianist for the Andrew Butt Trio+, who launched their third album, Peregian, in 2024.

Her debut album, Home, will be released in early 2025. The title track of this album received Highly Commended at the 2022 Queensland Music Awards in the Jazz category.
