Networking for creatives at North Lakes Community Centre

Kick off the creative year with an informal and relaxed networking session. You can meet Council's Cultural Activation team and Moreton Bay Region Industry and Tourism (MBRIT) representatives and listen to the exciting opportunities and events to come in 2025.

Learn how your creative work can complement our City and the Community Wellbeing Strategy.

Take inspiration from two Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) recipients, Julie Chenery "Dance for Seniors for Falls Prevention and Wellbeing" and Peter Muir "Develop a contemporary adaptation of Sartre's 'No Exit'". They will let you know what positive impacts the fund has made on their career and practice. You can also meet your creative sector, share ideas and form a plan for your creative year ahead.

• All creative individuals.
• Arts organisations like theatre and visual arts groups, community bands and more.
• Aspiring and emerging creatives.

What to expect

• Introductions to Council's Cultural Activation team.
• Introductions to MBRIT representatives.
• Short presentations by RADF recipients.
• Informal networking with other creatives in Moreton Bay. 
• Light refreshments.
