Unleash your creativity at our free painting workshops, available at multiple locations across the city! Join local artist Todd Whisson as he guides you through creating a 25 x 25cm canvas artwork.   

The workshop is inspired by the gentle still lifes and landscapes of artist Giorgio Morandi. He enjoyed a quiet, contemplative life in Bologna with his three sisters. Their tranquil existence was the perfect backdrop for his artistic inspiration.  

Discover the warmth and peaceful togetherness that infused his art. Under Todd Whisson's eager and expert guidance, you'll use provided templates and your imagination to let your creativity shine.   

This workshop is not just about painting—it's about joy, connection, and embracing the warmth within. It is open to everyone, including creatives of all skill levels. No previous painting experience needed.

About your host 

Todd Whisson was born in Brisbane in 1963. He is an Australian landscape and coastal painter. In 2015, he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Griffith University Queensland. Todd has been an artist for 27 years, exhibiting a large body of work as an Australian Impressionist.  

He draws influence from history and local stories. Todd evokes a spirit within the landscape, finding subjects in the overlooked or unnoticed.  

His work is held in public collections, including the Queensland State Library, City of Moreton Bay, and TAFE Qld. His work is also in private collections within Australia and overseas. To discover more about his work, check out his website.
