People's Grand Piano at North Lakes Library
Next date: Sunday, 01 June 2025 | 12:00 AM
to Monday, 30 June 2025 | 11:59 PM
June is Make Music Month, and City of Moreton Bay is celebrating with free live music at our galleries, libraries, and museums.
As part of the festivities, North Lakes Library will host the People’s Grand Piano, a public access instrument for everyone to enjoy.
Throughout the month, stop by and play a tune, whether it’s your favourite song or something you’ve been practising. The piano will be available during library opening hours for anyone to have a go.
Professional pianists will also perform on the People’s Grand Piano:
- Friday, 6 June at 11:00 AM - Rohan Seekers will take the stage.
- Saturday, 21 June at 10:20 AM - Deon Powter and Ryan Krarup will perform during North Lakes micro-festival.
A few important details about the People’s Grand Piano:
- The piano is in the North Lakes Library atrium.
- Children are welcome to play, but a parent or guardian must supervise them and follow requests from library staff.
- You’re welcome to play a song or two, but we ask that you be respectful of other library visitors.
- There may be brief moments when the piano is unavailable due to library programs.
Library staff are on hand to assist with any questions.
