June is Make Music Month, and City of Moreton Bay is celebrating with free live music at our galleries, libraries, and museums.

As part of the festivities, Caboolture Library will host the People’s Vibraphone, a public access instrument for everyone to enjoy.

Throughout the month, stop by and play a tune, whether it’s your favourite song or something you’ve been practising. The vibraphone will be available during library opening hours for anyone to have a go.

Professional musicians will also perform on the People’s Vibraphone:

  • Saturday, 21 June at 11:00 AM with Shugorei
  • Wednesday, 25 June at 11:00 AM with Bernie Lynch
  • Saturday, 28 June at 11:30 AM with Shugorei during Caboolture Micro-festival.

A few important details about the People’s Vibraphone:

  • The vibraphone is on wheels and may pop up in different spots in the Caboolture Hub throughout the month.
  • Children are welcome to play, but a parent or guardian must supervise them and follow requests from library staff.
  • You’re welcome to play a song or two, but we ask that you be respectful of other library visitors.
  • There may be brief moments when the vibraphone is unavailable due to library programs.
  •  Library staff are on hand to assist with any questions.
