National Reconciliation Week

27 May 2025 - 3 Jun 2025

National Reconciliation Week celebrates our shared histories, cultures, and achievements. It is an opportunity to explore how together we can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. National Reconciliation Week is held from 27 May to 3 June every year. These dates commemorate the successful 1967 referendum and the High Court Mabo decision respectively.

City of Moreton Bay respectfully acknowledges the Kabi Kabi, Jinibara and Turrbal Traditional Custodians of the lands across the region, and pays our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and hopes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Council proudly supports activities that celebrate National Reconciliation Week, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. Planning an event for National Reconciliation Week?  Add your event to Council’s What’s On calendar. Council's community grants may also be able to provide additional support.
