Snapdragon Seed Serpent at Kids Fest

The Wonder Wagon will be out and about in City of Moreton Bay again in 2025. Join us for Kids Fest at Pine Rivers Park for a fun creative activity.

Multidisciplinary artist David Spooner, has transformed The Wonder Wagon into a giant mythical plant-animal-monster. Known as the Snapdragon Seed Serpent, the monster has plant-like qualities.  It has big ears that could be petals, wings that could be leaves, a snapdragon face with an open mouth, and a long lumpy tail.

This activity is about plants' transformative processes, something David is very interested in. Throughout their life, plants change from seed to sprout, to leaf to flower.

Get creative and transform into your mythical plant-animal-monster. Create your plant protective equipment by customising a shield, mask, or body armour. Incorporate your unique mythical plant-animal name, symbols, and patterns into the design. Take a snap with the Snapdragon while wearing your protective gear, share your photos on social media and tag #TheWonderWagon.
