Moreton Bay Youth Week Online Song Competition

Celebrate Youth Week by showcasing your talent in the Online Song Competition for a chance to win exciting prizes!

Open to young artists aged 12 to 25 living in Moreton Bay, this competition is your stage to shine. Choose from three categories:

• Best original song - share your own lyrics and melody.
• Best cover song - show off your voice and musicality.
• Best rap song - drop your best bars (we can even supply the beats!).

You enter one, two or all three categories. Winners will share in a $1,000 prize pool to spend at local music stores.

Preparing your song entry

Song entries can be sung along to a backing track, performed with an instrument or studio recorded.

Film yourself performing your song with your phone or prepare an audio recording.

Need a beat for your rap? Rap song participants can request an instrumental to rap over by contacting hello@imaginemusic.org.

Make sure your email includes:

• your name
• your age
• your contact details
• a link to your song.

Links from Dropbox, Google Drive, WeTransfer and other file hosting sites are welcome. 

You can send in your entry between 6 and 12 April 2025.

Council may film, record or photograph events for use in marketing and communications or edit film, recordings or photographs that you supply as part of this workshop. By entering you agree to the photo and media terms and conditions(PDF, 125KB).

Council will use your personal information to update Council’s customer information records and to contact you about other functions and services of Council.
