Youth Week 2025 starts off with a bang at the Bribie Island Seaside Museum as it comes alive with Martin from Geckoes Wildlife!

Get up close and personal with a bunch of native critters that could be found in local parks, gardens and bushlands in your local area.

People can meet frogs, reptiles, birds and marsupials and learn how to identify these animals. There will be an opportunity to have your questions answered, and a chance to pat some of the friendlier ones!

Backyards and bushlands around Australia have lots of different species of local wildlife.

Depending on where you live, you might get to see a wombat … in Tasmania, or in Northern Australia … a crocodile. So be prepared for a couple of non-locals to pop up in the museum for the event!

Free. No bookings required.

Don’t forget to explore The Patch Imaginarium while you are at Bribie Island Seaside Museum - it's an interactive space where you can discover the possibilities of backyards past, present and in the future.
