Asia Pacific Triennial Kids on Tour at Caboolture Regional Art Gallery

5 Apr 2025 - 19 Apr 2025

Three kids making art

With exciting, free, hands-on art-making activities there’s lots of creative fun to be had for children and families at Caboolture Regional Art Gallery.

Presented by Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA), Asia Pacific Triennial Kids on Tour includes activities developed in collaboration with artists from across Asia and the Pacific.

Free - no bookings required.

Caboolture Regional Art Gallery is open from Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

Activities include:

Unity within Multiplicity

Create repeating patterns using coloured pencils and geometric templates in this activity developed in collaboration with artist Dana Awartani (Saudi Arabia/Palestine).

Monster of Wants

In this fun and imaginative activity, Malaysian artist Harold ‘Egn’ Eswar invites you to create a drawing of a monster that expresses the things you most desire.

If the seeds chose where to grow

In this activity Indian artist Rithika Merchant, encourages children to shape a new world by adding elements such as living beings, plants and celestial bodies to an interactive, ever changing landscape.

Wakuwaku

This activity reflects artist Brett Graham’s (Aotearoa New Zealand) use of traditional Māori patterns. He asks us to consider the natural environment where we live and be inspired to design our own patterns.

APT11 Kids on Tour is a free QAGOMA Touring program available to regional Queensland communities, with thanks to generous support from the Tim Fairfax Family Foundation.
