Friendship is a Shelter

30 Nov 2024 - 21 Dec 2024

Four blankets hanging from a tree making a shelter

Lexie Abel and Shan Michael's textile exhibition explores themes of friendship, connection, and the need to rest as an act of resistance.

Their blanket fort installation reflects that friendship is often an essential refuge in turmoil and crisis.

The exhibition also challenges marginalised individuals' need to constantly fight for their rights without pause and positions self-love and care as a revolutionary act.

The Hub Gallery is open from Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
