Dip into digital artmaking in this beginner’s illustration workshop, led by Ngarabul and Torres Strait Islander artist and author Lauren Rogers.
 
Inspired by the vibrant symbolism in POWER: The Future is Here, Lauren will show you how to design unique digital illustrations - perfect for printing at home.
 
Best suited to creatives aged 12+, this workshop will guide you through the basics digital drawing using Procreate on an iPad. Explore symbols, motifs and mark-making and how these symbols represent you, your culture or community, or the source of your inner power.
 
To get the most out of this workshop, it is recommended that participants have some experience using iPads and familiarity with digital programs like Photoshop or Procreate.
 
Free - bookings essential. iPads are provided for participants to use in this workshop.
 
This workshop is part of Queensland Youth Week (QYW). QYW is an annual celebration that shines a spotlight on the talents, achievements, and contributions of young people to their communities, our state, and beyond. It provides a platform for young Queenslanders aged 12–25 to connect, express themselves, and engage with opportunities that help shape their futures.
