9 Nov 2024 - 22 Feb 2025

Come on in, the water’s fine!

The Shallow End is the perfect place to dip your toes into cool seas of creativity.

Through a variety of free self-guided activities, discover how collaborating with family and friends can lead to a deeper appreciation for the beauty and interconnectedness of the environment.

Find a thread of connection in our collaborative weaving space, create a mini adornment inspired by Quandamooka Country or trace your surroundings at your own pace.

You can drop in for an activity demonstration with a member of the Gallery team on select Wednesdays between 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM: 13 November, 27 November, 11 December, 8 January, 22 January, 5 February.

Be guided through activities developed by Sonja and Elisa Jane Carmichael and experiment with wax trace techniques to make replica cyanotypes.

This activity space uses repurposed, recycled, and secondhand materials where possible. As a result, this activity will grow and evolve based on the availability of materials.
