Journeys tells the stories of why people came here, the journeys they took and what their life was like once here.

The abundance of natural resources, the chance to start afresh, and to seek refuge are just some of the reasons that prompted people to come to the local area.

Some came not of their own accord, being transported as convicts or in service of their Country.

The journeys people took were just as varied and at times were fraught with danger, from shipwrecks to natural disasters and disease.

Exhibition developed by City of Moreton Bay.
