Child panning for gold

Visit the museum these school holidays and learn how to fossick!

Pan for gold (or fools gold) and dig for precious gems.

Make sure you keep what you unearth to show friends and family what you discovered.

Free. Bookings required. This event is suitable for ages 5+.

Note: The 10:15 AM workshop is specifically for neurodivergent children and their parent/carer, where they can feel free to stim, wear ear defenders, use sensory tools, take breaks as needed. This workshop is open to a maximum of 5 children (plus 1 carer each).

The museum is open Wednesday to Sunday, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
