Actions at home: Family fun space

24 Nov 2024 - 15 Feb 2025

A table full of food made out of paper

How can one person make a difference to the world? By starting at home.

This family-friendly space will inspire artists of all ages and abilities to create artworks that think about making small, positive actions. In doing so, each one of us can make a world of difference.

Draw inspiration from how you can make a difference at home or in your neighbourhood. Maybe you could start by sharing some food, or tidying up your room. What other responsibilities do you have at home? Could you plant a native tree in your garden, or collect some rubbish at the beach?

Activities include:

  • Dinner Time: Designed by artist Mark du Potiers - use paper and cardboard to create your favourite meal as an artwork to take home.
  • Household heroes: Design and draw a hero for your household - what would your special power be?
  • Dinner time tots: Let's learn through role play - explore new skills and build confidence in this fun hands-on activity.
  • Plant swap: Connect with your local community through our plant swap in the gallery courtyard.
  • Plant pop: Make your new plant pop by creating a personalised name plate.
  • Little library: Discover and enjoy a curated selection of books themed around creating positive actions.
