Art Time for Toddlers occurs every Wednesday from 10:30 AM - 11:15 AM.

Entry is free - no bookings required.

This sensory play and art making experience is for toddlers and their adults.

Each session embeds play, creativity, and tactile exploration to nurture engagement and learning.

Over 45 minutes, children will sing, dance, create, and play in the gallery.

Activities are designed to be easily replicated at home, using materials that are accessible or low-cost.

All activities are inspired by the current exhibition on display to develop enquiry-based learning and engagement with visual art and stimulus from a young age.
Content of sessions changes monthly.

Redcliffe Art Gallery is open from Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

Rainbows and reflections

Wednesdays: 26 March, 2, 9 April

Drawing inspiration from the artwork by Holly Anderson in 15 Artists 2025, children will be introduced to simple scientific phenomena such as ‘how rainbows are made’ followed by the creation of their own holographic collage.

During the month of April, we’ll explore all the different objects and materials artists use today to create art. Is art just for looking, or can it be felt and heard as well? Is it a picture on a wall or could it be something that surrounds us? Let’s find out as we explore artworks in the 15 Artists 2025 exhibition. 

Me in the world

Wednesdays: 7, 14, 21, 28 May

Just like a toddler, artists draw inspiration from the world around them. During the month of May little ones will be encouraged to explore their place in the world through playful creative activities and song.
