Future curiosities: Creature-making kids workshop

15 Jan 2025 | 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM

A red dragon and a red creature made from plasticine

Join us for a fun-filled sci-fi exploration of your own imagining in this creature-making workshop inspired by the work of Patricia Piccinini.

Consider the future possibilities of science and technology. Can we re-create the dinosaurs? Cross a triceratops with a Raptor? Perhaps one day we’ll find terrestrial life! What will happen to these creatures if we co-exist with them?

Drawing on imagination and the action of empathy, participants will be guided to produce a concept drawing of their creature, bring it to life in 3D form, and reflect upon their hopes for it in a possible future.

Bookings required. All materials supplied.
