Join us at Redcliffe Museum for a special meet-and-greet celebrating Pierre's Mill, the beloved restaurant which was a cornerstone of local life at Kippa-Ring for 20 years.

The restaurant sat proudly next to the old drive-in cinema at Kippa-Ring from 1969-1985.

Meet anthropologist Nonja Peters and other special guests and hear about the Dutch mercantilism and its impact, with a special focus on Pierre’s Mill.

View the screening of a documentary - Westlanders in Australia - on the emigration story of Henk and Wil, whose father owned Pierre’s Mill. Share your stories with a panel of experts on the rich history of Dutch migrants.

Explore the themes of migration, entrepreneurship, and intergenerational legacy as you participate in this event.

Bring your memorabilia, reconnect with others, and share your memories of this iconic establishment.

Free - bookings essential.

This project has been supported by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Australia.
