Attention all cat lovers, are you looking for the purr-fect way to spend your Saturday?

Morayfield Sport and Events Centre is proud to host the Birman Cat Fanciers Club of Queensland’s Birman cat show!

This exciting event is a must-see, especially for those who adore the Birman cat breed. Judges from across the globe will critique our Birmans and a wide variety of other cat breeds on display.

Judging criteria include physical condition, beauty, personality, and show presence. Cheer on your favourites, as we will award great prizes and beautiful rosettes in our traditional club colours to the winners.

Our specialty Birman ring is the highlight of the show. This is where we announce the coveted award for Best Birman Exhibit. This is a title our dedicated breeders strive to achieve every year.

Expect to see a dazzling range of colour point variations, including seal, chocolate, blue and lilac.

Birmans are recognisable by their striking blue eyes, white paws, and contrasting colour points. Birmans were first established as a breed in France in 1925. They're known for their gentle nature, social temperament, and affectionate personality. They almost went extinct during World War II, but the breed has made a strong comeback thanks to passionate breeders.

Founded in 1990, the Birman Cat Fanciers Club of Queensland is a not-for-profit organisation. The club is dedicated to preserving this beautiful breed.
