Queensland Hobby Horse Riders present the Hobby Horse Holiday Classic. Join us at the Morayfield Sport and Events Centre as competitors take on dressage events in the indoor arena. This unique sport incorporates gymnastic elements and uses hobby horses, also known as stick horses. Popular among girls and young women, it combines fitness, fashion, and fantasy.

The rules follow the same principles as traditional horse competitions. This makes it a great, fun way to learn about horse sports for riders whose goal is to progress to real horses. It provides a safe, inclusive, and friendly sporting and social environment.

Hobby horse riding was first developed in Finland and has gained global popularity. Competitions are now held in Australia, America, Germany, and other European countries. It is the fastest-growing new sport in Australia.

New competitors are welcome, with a range of events available for all ages.
