Award-winning Australian author and broadcaster Ben Law will give Moreton Bay residents an insight into his unique life with a quirky online interview airing on Wednesday 1 July.
Moreton Bay Region Mayor Peter Flannery encouraged everyone to tune in for a guaranteed night of entertainment on the couch.
“We have a virtual treat for you to kick off our first instalment of the new series ‘3 Things With…’ when we invite writer Ben Law into your living room,” Mayor Flannery said.
“In a quirky, fun take on our usual author interviews, Ben will tell us about himself using three different objects in his life.
“We’ll uncover aspects of Ben’s personality, reveal the story behind the object and also get a unique insight into his life story. It will be an interesting interview not to miss!
“You may recognise his name, as Ben created and co-wrote three seasons of the award-winning SBS TV series The Family Law, based on his memoir, and is the author of Gaysia: Adventures in the Queer East, a journalistic exploration of LGBT life in Asia.
“In 2019, he was named one of the Asian-Australian Leadership Summit’s 40 Under 40 Most Influential Asian-Australians, and won the Arts, Culture and Sport category.
“These online programs are just some of the ways Council’s libraries have adapted to continue to service the community during COVID-19.
“I’d like to thank our incredible libraries team for their passion and innovation to make this possible.”
