Kerbside bin collections are now back to normal after Council’s waste contractor Cleanaway resolved negotiations with the Transport Workers Union.
If your wheelie bin is not emptied on your normal day of service, please report it to Moreton Bay Regional Council by calling: 3205 0555.
Council will advise Cleanaway where bins have been missed and organise for them to be collected within two working days.
Cleanaway called in additional trucks and crew members from as far away as Cairns to clear missed bins during driver strike action, which begun on November 16.
Extra services including weekend pickups were also introduced to help make up.
Waste and recycling collection services are now back to normal as of this week (beginning December 14).
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.
