Business owners wanting to put 2020 behind them and level-up this year can now register for a free six-week business development course, designed to teach you how to take control of your future and plan a path to success.
Mayor Peter Flannery said Council was proud to partner with USC to deliver this invaluable program.
“The economic success of our region hinges on the success of local businesses, with around 60% of new jobs created by existing operators,” he said.
“Our region is proudly home to 28,800 small businesses employing almost 150,000 locals, so empowering businesses owners and entrepreneurs is a direct investment in the success of our post-COVID recovery plan.
“Yesterday we launched our new Regional Economic Development Strategy which identifies ‘Knowledge, Innovation and Entrepreneurship’ as a key pillar to help transform our region and that’s exactly what this series supports.
“Best of all it’s FREE!
“This course is the perfect opportunity for business owners to gain new skills, network, reflect on the current market and work with a range of experts to future-proof their business.
“We know Moreton Bay is home to fantastic business owners and entrepreneurs busy doing what they love, that’s why the series will only take two hours each week, for six weeks to balance into your lifestyle.
“If you’re interested, bite the bullet and book your spot today before spaces fill up.”
The Moreton Bay Business Planning Workshops is delivered by Moreton Bay Regional Council, University of the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay Regional Industry & Tourism and Regional Development Australia - Moreton Bay.
