New app to access Moreton Bay Libraries anywhere, anytime
Published 09 February 2021
Your new one-stop-shop for local libraries is here — introducing the free myMBRL app.
Moreton Bay Library members can now borrow eBooks, audiobooks and online magazines, stream movies and music, reserve the latest bestsellers and more, right from your phone or tablet.
Mayor Peter Flannery said the app was a must-have for all library lovers.
“Browsing the millions of items in our library collection has never been easier thanks to the new myMBRL app,” Mayor Flannery said.
“COVID-19 restrictions have had a big impact on our library customers, so we know you’ll be glad to access everything you love right at your fingertips.
“The app offers everything you’d expect, like being able to browse and borrow, but with so much more.
“You can update your library details, manage your loans, reservations and family accounts, register for library workshops and events, and even check if your favourite book is available at your local library.
“Leave your library card at home and skip the queue to check out your books, just scan them through the app.
“If you want to access all these free resources, programs and entertainment but you’re not a library member, that’s no problem — sign up online through the app!
“Download myMBRL for free today and, if you need a hand, our friendly staff are ready to help you at your local library so you’ll be happily borrowing in no time.”
