ABC Radio live in Moreton Bay!

Our extraordinary people, distinctive neighbourhoods and remarkable stories will take over the airwaves, with ABC Radio Brisbane broadcasting live from City of Moreton Bay during October.
The ABC Radio team will stake its claim on the shoreline, bringing its pop-up studio to Redcliffe Visitor Information Centre from 01 October.
There’ll also be activations at the Redcliffe Markets, a pop up studio for people to see how the radio magic all happens plus you’ll get the chance to watch much-loved ABC presenters including Breakfast’s Craig Zonca & Loretta Ryan, Morning’s Rebecca Levingston, Afternoon’s Kat Feeney, Drive’s Steve Austin, and Saturday Morning’s Kate O'Toole live on air!
Acting Mayor of City of Moreton Bay Jodie Shipway said she was excited to share all of the innovative and unique activities going on in the area.
“We’re Australia’s third largest council area and the country’s newest city so there’s plenty of great stories to tell and local people to meet.
“From our distinctive past to the new vision we have for the City of Moreton Bay, we’re delighted that ABC is shining a spotlight on our dynamic city.
“The team want to hear from local voices and share the news and stories of Moreton Bay with listeners right across Queensland, so I encourage people to reach out and share their stories.”
ABC Radio Brisbane Local Manager, Anthony Frangi said the station was looking forward to bringing ABC in Moreton Bay to the community with a commitment to telling Moreton Bay stories.
“We're thrilled to announce that ABC Radio Brisbane is taking the excitement to the heart of Moreton Bay this October,” he said.
“This initiative is all about connecting with the local voices of Moreton Bay, sharing their stories, and bringing the essence of this vibrant region to our listeners across Queensland. We believe in the power of community engagement and are committed to telling the tales of City of Moreton Bay.”
The ABC’s pop-up radio studio will be located at Redcliffe Jetty Visitor Information Centre, 160 Redcliffe Parade, Redcliffe QLD 4020, overlooking Redcliffe Jetty and the bay. The space has been provided by City of Moreton Bay.
The Moreton Bay public and visitors to the area are encouraged to tune into ABC Radio Brisbane to hear stories from across the region, they will also be able to see live broadcasts from the pop-up studio across the month.
