Moreton Bay Regional Council has approved the development of a $20 million indoor children’s play centre in North Lakes.
Jungle Adventure Play is one of Queensland’s largest indoor/outdoor adventure play facilities, and the new North Lakes site will feature active opportunities for the entire family.
The new centre includes interactive climbing walls, a high ropes course, indoor playgrounds, free fall platforms, ninja courses, a mini golf course, café, licenced restaurant and a Tiki Bar.
Jungle Adventure Play, who already operate in Brisbane’s Tingalpa, were successful in their application to open their flagship centre in Moreton Bay, on 10,000 square meters at 2 McLennan Court, North Lakes.
Mayor Flannery said “The centre will deliver 100 jobs and $5.6 million local economic activity annually by their third year of operation.
It comes on top of a recently approved $70 million eco-tourism hotel nearby, which will help to grow and diversify the North Lakes economy.”
Jungle Adventure Play owner Lachlan Walker said, “we identified Moreton Bay as a major growth region managed by a business-friendly Council and chose the North Lakes location due to its strong family demographic, which aligned with our company’s core values.
“As a family-owned and operated business, we know how important it is to connect and grow with the community,” Mr Walker said.
Deputy Mayor and local Councillor, Jodie Shipway said she couldn’t be happier to welcome the new investor and the new centre to the region.
“The Jungle Adventure Play centre will be a great addition to Norths Lakes and surrounds as it provides families with safe, friendly and sun protected space. This centre will be enjoyed by local families while helping to attract new visitors to the area,” she said.
Construction on the Jungle Adventure Play centre will start in 2023 and be completed by 2024.
