Bayside jewel finalist in Queensland Top Tourism Town Award
Published 13 May 2024
City of Moreton Bay’s picturesque bayside destination Redcliffe has today been confirmed as a finalist for the much-coveted Queensland Top Tourism Town title.
The annual awards presented by Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC) celebrate and recognise outstanding tourism destinations which demonstrate commitment to visitor excellence.
The top gong will be awarded after votes from locals and Queenslanders and judging by a panel of tourism experts concludes.
City of Moreton Bay Mayor Peter Flannery said Redcliffe was well deserving of such an accolade and was excited that Queenslanders would now have the chance to vote for the city.
“Redcliffe is certainly one of the most iconic locations of City of Moreton Bay, contributing significantly to our 4.6 million annual visitors,” Mayor Flannery said.
“From the iconic Redcliffe Jetty and Bee Gees Way, scenic waterways and wetlands, Kayo Stadium and the Dolphins, a host of great events, and a warm and welcoming community Redcliffe offers so much for visitors.
“I encourage our community and visitors to get behind Redcliffe and show their support by voting for the Top Tourism Town Award.”
Queenslanders can vote for their favourite holiday gems through the QTIC website until 17 May.
Winners of the Queensland Top Tourism Awards will be announced on 7 June.
