Double Your Donation for Redcliffe Hospital
Published 25 August 2021
Moreton Bay Regional Council is proud to support the first ever Redcliffe Hospital Giving Day by providing a $2,927 grant towards the Raise it for Redcliffe initiative.
With every donation doubled until Wednesday 13 October, Mayor Peter Flannery encouraged everyone to support this deserving cause.
“You don’t have to dig deep to make a difference, with every donation doubled between now and the Redcliffe Hospital Giving Day on Wednesday 13 October 2021,” Mayor Flannery said.
“With the state’s health care systems strained, it’s time to care for those who care for us.
“Raise it for Redcliffe provides the opportunity for patients and staff - past and present - as well as the broader community, to show their support and gratitude to Redcliffe Hospital.
“There’s no better way to support the hospital that has been supporting our community for half a century.
“Opening its doors in 1965, Redcliffe Hospital has had to grow significantly to keep up with a rapidly growing part of Moreton Bay Region.
“Last financial year, more than 1,600 babies were born, there were 58,000 specialist outpatient appointments and more than 65,000 presentations at the Emergency Department.
“This level of exceptional healthcare just shows how important this facility is providing essential services for residents.
“There are many ways to fundraise from asking for donations in lieu of gifts if you have an upcoming birthday or celebration, to increasing your fitness and setting a challenge by walking, running or cycling to raise funds.”
Raise it for Redcliffe is a partnership between Redcliffe Hospital and the RBWH Foundation.
All donations made to help Raise it for Redcliffe go toward Redcliffe Hospital initiatives and research.
