Help us develop our roadmap for the future of our Moreton Bay!

This is your chance to influence the future direction of our Moreton Bay by having your say on our new Moreton Bay Regional Council Corporate Plan 2022-2027.

Mayor Peter Flannery said this key strategic document will become Council’s roadmap for success over the next five years and urged locals to have their say and complete the survey between 20 April to 16 May 2022.

“The world has gone through major changes over the past two years and Moreton Bay is no exception. As we look to the future, our Corporate Plan outlines the vision and goals for how we want our region to look and feel, and outlines how we will work towards achieving these,’ he said.

“Overwhelmingly we know you want to celebrate our vibrant communities, protect and enhance our natural spaces, and support sustainable lifestyles, but it’s essential that you review this draft document to make sure we’re on the right track.

“Growth is happening all around us and we expect that to continue with a projected 210,000 people set to move to our Moreton Bay over the next 20 years.

“That brings with it opportunities to provide increased access to services and facilities, practice sustainability, deliver well-planned and connected places and spaces and create a progressive and robust economy.

“This Corporate Plan will underpin all of Council’s decision making over this crucial period as we chart our path through a post COVID world.

“But before we adopt our Corporate Plan I want you all to tell us whether we got it right and whether we need to make further changes, so that our decision-making reflects your priorities and expectations.

“So starting from today, you’ll be able to jump online, fill out a survey and provide feedback on our roadmap for the next five years.

“This is just another way Council is working with its residents and involving our community as we shape the future of our Moreton Bay.”
