The countdown to Christmas is on, and City of Moreton Bay has a packed calendar of free, family-friendly activities to keep the little ones entertained until Santa arrives. From festive fun and creative crafts to nature adventures and cultural discoveries, there’s something for everyone, and it won’t cost a cent!

Mayor Peter Flannery said that the festive season is a perfect time to connect with loved ones and explore what the city has to offer.

“This is what our community is all about—creating free opportunities for connection, exploration, and joy during this special time of year," Mayor Flannery said.

Here’s your day-to-day guide to keeping the kids busy, and your wallet happy in the lead-up to Christmas:

Saturday, 14 December: Spend the Day at Bribie

  • A Seaside Family Fun Day | Bribie Island | 10:30 am
  • Taking Flight: Amazing Migratory Shorebirds Exhibition | Bribie Island Seaside Museum

Sunday, 15 December: Sing it Loud Sunday

  • Pine Rivers Christmas Carols | Strathpine | From 4:00 pm

Monday, 16 December: Cool Down for a Free Swim

Tuesday, 17 December: Chill, Stay, and Play

  • Wild Flow Yoga | Caboolture Region Environmental Education Centre (CREEC) (Bookings required)
  • Explore CREEC’s all-abilities playground, sensory garden, and rainforest bushwalks, and stay for a picnic or barbecue lunch.
  • Visit Osprey House | Griffin | 9 am - 3 pm | Stroll the boardwalk, spot wildlife, and enjoy the bird hide.

Wednesday, 18 December: Get Out in Nature
