Local Laws Review Update: Waste Management, Public Land & Roads

The latest tranche of proposed Local Laws will be open for public comment on Monday 3 April until the end of 30 April, asking local residents for their feedback on amendments to two Local Laws:

  • Waste Management (Open until April 30)
  • Community Standards for Public Land and Roads (Open until April 30)

Mayor Peter Flannery said changes to these proposed laws had been drafted to reflect the feedback Council received through an extensive community consultation period last year.

“Thanks to thousands of submissions from our community, Council is progressively releasing the proposed laws,” he said.

“Whether you support or object to the proposed Local Laws, we want to hear from you.”

Submissions can be lodged:

  • Online by completing the online survey on Council's web page
  • By emailing the submission to local.laws@moretonbay.qld.gov.au; or
  • By writing to Council with your submission at:
