No it isn’t an invasion, but the army will be on Redcliffe Peninsula on Friday morning.
About 100 soldiers from the 7th Combat Service Support Battalion, which is based at Enoggera’s Gallipoli Barracks, will be in town for a combat fitness exercise between Endeavour Park and Pelican Park.
For the exercise, which begins at 5am and is expected to finish around midday, the soldiers will be in full uniform and carrying heavy packs as they combat march along the foreshore. Their weapons will not be loaded.
