Moreton Bay Regional Council has published the latest region-wide flood maps on council’s website.

Mayor Allan Sutherland said flood maps including potential storm tide impacts were now available and can be found on the floodplains page.

“Council has undertaken a staged program of work to make regional flood map information freely available to members of the public,” the Mayor said.

“The first stage of flood mapping information was uploaded to council’s website in February this year.

“Stage two has now been completed with the publication of updated flood maps including potential storm tide impacts.

“Flood maps will continue to be updated on council’s website as new data emerges.”

Mayor Sutherland said the program of flood mapping work was just one of the many measures being implemented by council to boost the preparedness of the region for natural disasters.
