Teddy Bears Picnic

If you go down to Pine Rivers Park on Wednesday September 5, you’re in for a big surprise.
The annual Teddy Bears Picnic hosted by Moreton Bay Regional Council’s Division Eight and Nine is set to plate up a free morning of fun for families and teddies.
Division Eight councillor, Mick Gillam, said the picnic would begin from 9.30am.
“For young families it offers the perfect start to the day and with lots of activities it will make for a great way to keep the kids entertained,” Cr Charlton said.
“There will be live entertainment, games, craft and story telling for all to enjoy, so all that’s left to for you to bring is a picnic and your favourite teddy bear.”
Division Nine councillor, Mike Charlton, said a teddy bear parade and winners of the Teddy Bear’s Picnic colouring competition would also be announced on the day before the event wrapped-up at midday.
“If you haven’t already picked up your colouring entry, there’s still time to do so at your nearest Moreton Bay Regional Council Library or Council’s Strathpine Office,” Cr Charlton said.
“For those who have already submitted an entry, make sure you’re at the picnic for your chance to win some great prize packs.”
The Teddy Bears Picnic will be held from 9.30am to 12noon at Pine Rivers Park, Gympie Road, Strathpine.
