Notice of Making Amendment Local Law No.1 (Moreton Bay Regional Council Local Law No. 8 (Election Signs) 2019) 2023 and Amendment Subordinate Local Law No.1 (Moreton Bay Regional Council Subordinate Local Law No. 8 (Election Signs) 2019) 2023
- Moreton Bay City Council (Council) has, by resolution dated 22 November 2023, made -
- Amendment Local Law No.1 (Moreton Bay Regional Council Local Law No. 8 (Election Signs) 2019) 2023 (Local Law); and
- Amendment Subordinate Local Law No.1 (Moreton Bay Regional Council Subordinate Local Law No. 8 (Election Signs) 2019) 2023 (Subordinate Local Law).
- The Local Law amends Moreton Bay Regional Council Local Law No. 8 (Election Signs) 2019.
- The Subordinate Local Law amends Moreton Bay Regional Council Subordinate Local Law No. 8 (Election Signs) 2019.
- The purpose and general effect of the Local Law is to amend Moreton Bay Regional Council Local Law No. 8 (Election Signs) 2019 to ensure the effective regulation of election signs in the local government area, including on State-controlled roads.
- The purpose and general effect of the Subordinate Local Law is to amend Moreton Bay Regional Council Subordinate Local Law No. 8 (Election Signs) 2019 to change the short title for consistency with the naming convention of Council’s other local laws and to amend reference to the authorising local law.
- Moreton Bay Regional Council Local Law No. 8 (Election Signs) 2019 authorises the making of the Subordinate Local Law.
- A copy of the Local Law may be -
- inspected and purchased at Council’s public office; and
- viewed by the public on the website of the Department of State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning.
