As constructed data standards and guidelines
Council has adopted an As Constructed Data Standard that incorporates the Asset Design as Constructed (ADAC) specification. ADAC provides a standard specification for describing asset design and as constructed data.
The data from an As Constructed Survey is transformed into an Extensible Markup Language (XML) file in accordance with the relevant ADAC Data Schema, which is then loaded into Council systems for validation and acceptance.
ADAC Specification
The ADAC specification is defined in the ADAC XML schema located on the IPWEAQ website and is utilised by council to transfer asset information into its corporate systems. The As Constructed Data Standard applies to the following infrastructure asset types.
- transport
- stormwater
- open space
- water (where owned or contributed to council)
- sewerage (where owned or contributed to council)
- cadastre / surface
The version of the Schema that Council accepts is detailed within the ADAC Submission Guidelines(PDF, 2MB).
More information on the ADAC process, data schema, available tools and supporting agencies can be found on the IPWEAQ website.
ADAC Submission Guidelines
Council has developed a set of guidelines for the submission of ADAC XML files, which when followed, will ensure the creation of compliant ADAC XML data. View the ADAC Submission Guidelines(PDF, 2MB).
Council has also developed an ADAC Submission Checklist(PDF, 961KB) to assist users in the creation of compliant ADAC data.
