The MB+ initiative offers an expedited application service for low risk development applications such as plan endorsement and operational work permits.

Suitably qualified consultants and consultancies have been certified by Council to release endorsed survey plans and development permits for operational works within five business days.

Benefits of being accredited

As an MB+ accredited consultant, you can offer clients a quicker and more efficient option for low-risk development proposals. On successful accreditation, Council will provide an accredited consultant logo for you to use in promoting your business.

Terms of use: Placement of the Council MB+ graphic suite on publications, signage and online, indicates support, endorsement or involvement from Council. It is only to be used as support graphics in conjunction with those of accredited consultants. 

Becoming an accredited consultant

Council invites competent and experienced consultants to become accredited in the assessment service. The organisation and their representative/s applying for accreditation must:

  • demonstrate, through the provision of previously submitted applications, that they are proficient with Council's Planning Scheme, planning process and relevant associated legislation
  • have the required insurances
  • submit a complete accreditation documentation kit.

  • Sign in to Online Services (Instructions)
  • Go to 'Enquiries'
  • Find the relevant 'Development' enquiry, for example 'MB+ Consultant Accreditation' under the heading 'Development - Other Development Related Matter or Matters Related to Existing Development Approval' and click 'Start' to begin the process.

Lodge a DA application

Sufficient and correct information must be provided in accordance with that stated on the relevant application kits to enable Council to assess the application or request.
