Future Beacon Street Local Recreation Park

The current LGIP indicatively nominated a location and land area for a future Local Recreation Park (identified as Open Spaces item 2229) in Amy Street, Morayfield.

What is a Local Recreation Park?

A Local Recreation Park has a minimum land area of 0.5 hectares. It offers a range of low key recreation opportunities such as:

  • small open area for games such as ball games
  • playgrounds for children
  • seating
  • picnic spaces
  • shade cover

Site selection

The exact location in Beacon Street has now been confirmed for Local Recreation Park OS-2229 and will be reflected in a future LGIP amendment.
