Status
On 3 December 2019, Council resolved to adopt The Mill Civic Space and Park Guidelines and The Mill Streetscape Guidelines. On the 18 February 2020, Council resolved to adopt The Mill Public Art Guidelines.
These guidelines direct the desired character and experiential qualities of civic spaces and parks as places that are distinctive, engaging, comfortable, adaptive to changing user needs, connect people to living systems, and provide authentic connections to the past. The guidelines include details about the types and functions, and guiding plans and attributes of civic space and park typologies in Mill Central and Mill Green.
These guidelines direct the character and experiential qualities of streetscapes as places for people, movement, active transport and activity. The guidelines include details about the types and functions, guiding plans and cross sections of streetscape typologies and at-grade car parks in Mill Central and Mill Green.
These guidelines communicate the vision and requirements for public art in The Mill at Moreton Bay PDA. The guidelines include the curatorial rationale and themes to be utilised in artwork commissions, types of public art, and the assessment and approval process for public art projects.

Council has set a commencement date of 15 January 2020 for The Mill Civic Space and Park Guidelines and The Mill Streetscape Guidelines. The Mill Public Art Guidelines will commence on the 24 February 2020.
Public consultation
Public consultation on The Mill Civic Space and Park Guidelines and The Mill Streetscape Guidelines was held from 26 August 2019 to 20 September 2019. Public consultation on The Mill Public Art Guidelines was held from 29 November 2019 to 29 January 2020.
During the consultation periods, the community and all interested parties were invited to view the proposed guidelines and make a written submission for consideration by Council.
