Moreton Money is a gift card aimed at promoting local spending. They can only be spent at businesses in Moreton Bay. This means the money stays local, helping to support local businesses and the city’s economy. Every $100 spent puts around $180 back into our economy.

The gift card functions like a regular card, whether physical or digital. They can be used at over 300 shops and service providers across the city.

Convert your EFTPOS gift card to a digital card

Traditional Moreton Money gift cards, with the EFTPOS logo and magnetic strip, are only usable at a limited number of local businesses.

You can access more businesses across the city by converting your gift card to digital. You can use your digital gift card as a tap and pay card on your mobile phone, or you can opt for a microchipped physical card. 

You can convert your card by completing an online formA transaction fee will apply.

The Moreton Money gift card upgrade program is provided by the Locally Led Economic Recovery Program through the jointly funded Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).

Get your business involved

Local businesses can register online to accept Moreton Money gift cards.

Register now

You must have EFTPOS, PayWave or a tap and pay system and be a locally-owned business in City of Moreton Bay.

Local franchisees must join a partnered business group to participate in the program.

Participating businesses can display the Moreton Money logo to encourage customers to use the card at their business.
