Mental health and wellbeing support

Natural disasters are extremely challenging for many people across the community. People will have varied physical and/or emotional reactions following a natural disaster. For some, it may feel overwhelming and become difficult to cope.

To access donated support through GIVIT, you must first connect with a support organisation that will assess your needs.

Organisations and charities

If you work for a charity, social service, school, community group, government or non-government organisation, you can apply to use GIVIT to help find the essentials that people you are working with need to improve their wellbeing.

Free legal advice

Legal Aid Queensland

Contact Legal Aid Queensland for free legal help with issues you may face if your property has been damaged by disasters.

Common legal issues after a disaster include:

  • debt and financial problems
  • small business and franchisor issues.
