Financial support after a disaster
Community Recovery Hub
Those experiencing hardship after a disaster can apply for grants and get other support at a Community Recovery Hub or online through the Community Recovery Portal.
Community recovery workers will help with grant applications and referrals to other organisations and agencies. Find a Community Recovery Hub.
For further assistance, call the Queensland Government’s Community Recovery Hotline on 1800 173 349.

GIVIT
You can donate to GIVIT, which allocates money, items, services and time to residents in need.
GIVIT works with Council, the Queensland Government, and support organisations and charities, so communities can get exactly what they need.
GIVIT uses 100% of all financial donations to buy essential items and services for those who need them. Donate to GIVIT.
Do not take unrequested donations into disaster-affected areas. This can hinder recovery.
To get support through GIVIT, you must first connect with a support organisation that will assess your needs.
Find support organisations in your area by visiting the GIVIT website.
