Those experiencing hardship after a disaster can apply for grants and get other support at a Community Recovery Hub.
Community recovery workers will help with grant applications and referrals to other organisations and agencies. Find a Community Recovery Hub.

State Government grants and funding
After a disaster, the State Government provides financial aid to residents, not-for-profit organisations, businesses and industries. Eligibility requirements apply.

Rates payment plan
Property owners who are unable to pay their rates by the due date can enter into a payment plan.
During the term of the payment plan, you will not receive any reminder of final notices. You will continue to receive your rates notice each quarter.

GIVIT
You can donate to GIVIT, which allocates money, items, services and time to residents in need.
GIVIT works with Council, the Queensland Government, and support organisations and charities, so communities can get exactly what they need.
GIVIT uses 100% of all financial donations to buy essential items and services for those who need them. Donate to GIVIT.
Do not take unrequested donations into disaster-affected areas. This can hinder recovery.
To get support through GIVIT, you must first connect with a support organisation that will assess your needs.
