Sandbags must not be placed into your general waste bin unless they are empty. The sand can be used as topsoil on lawns and gardens. Do not allow sand to wash into stormwater drains.

The regional ecosystem list has 23 of the most common native vegetation in Moreton Bay. It is specific to South East Queensland because of its landform, geology and soil. Council uses the system as a standard to describe vegetation communities.
You can use these plants to assist in restoration or revegetation projects. They support local ecosystems and can provide shelter for native Australian animals.
Each regional ecosystem has a three number code (for example 12.1.1). The first number refers to a bioregion. Queensland has 13 bioregions and Moreton Bay is number 12, so all our lists begin with 12. The second number is the landform, and the third number is the vegetation community.
