Redcliffe Aerodrome

The Redcliffe Aerodrome is located at Wirraway Drive, Rothwell. Its regular hours of operation are 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily.

Medical or other emergency services aircraft may use the aerodrome from time to time outside these hours.

Aircraft parking fees

Fees are payable to Council’s managing agent, Ray White - phone 1300 255 075.

All prices inclusive of GST.

Prices displayed are valid until 1 July each year and subject to change.

There are no refunds for departure prior to rental period end date.

Noise complaints

Aerodromes produce certain levels of noise from the movement of aircraft on the ground and within the surrounding airspace.

Aircraft noise generated in the air is the responsibility of Airservices Australia, which is the Australian Government organisation responsible for managing complaints and enquiries about aircraft operations.

City of Moreton Bay is responsible for aircraft noise generated on the ground at this aerodrome. If you believe an aircraft's on-ground activity is unreasonable, submit a noise complaint. 

Request to land

Visitors are required to provide full details to Council for consideration by the Request to land / Use facilities form. Prior permission is required for touch and go operations. For local requirements, refer to the Redcliffe Aerodrome (YRED) En Route Supplement Australia (ERSA) via the Airservices Australia aeronautical information package.

Pavement concession

Redcliffe Aerodrome (YRED) is restricted to Maximum Take-off Weight (MTOW) of 5700kg, or maximum Aircraft Concession Number (ACN) of 4. Before operating at YRED any aircraft exceeding either of these parameters are required to complete the Pavement concession application form.

Vehicle parking

Short-term, unmetered, unsecure public car parking is available in Boomerang Court, the small car park near the terminal. Parking is also available along the western end of Wirraway Drive, Rothwell. Park at your own risk.
