We are working on the detailed design for an upgrade to Caboolture River Road. The upgrade will occur between Gregor Road and Phelps Road, Upper Caboolture. The work is necessary due to the number of crashes and the anticipated traffic growth in the area.
The project aims to improve road safety and reduce crash risk by:
- improving road surface quality
- creating wider traffic lanes and shoulders
- installing turn lanes where possible
- relocating or removing roadside hazards including large trees and poles
- installing guardrails where required.
Nearby residents will receive notification outlining construction dates, hours of work and journey impacts.
The Caboolture River Road Safety Upgrade is jointly funded by the Australian Government and City of Moreton Bay, via the Safer Local Roads and Infrastructure Program.
