The Biosecurity Act 2014 says every council in Queensland must have a biosecurity plan. These plans explain how landowners should manage certain pest animals and weeds.
Per the Act, Council's Biosecurity Plan outlines our approach to managing biosecurity matters. It covers prohibited or restricted species as defined in the Act that are present in City of Moreton Bay.
The plan aligns with our Corporate Plan and the Our Healthy Environments strategic pillar. It also aligns with and supports the Queensland Invasive Plants and Animals Strategy 2019–2024.
